Neil Walker has had the great idea of systematically mapping the club rides using GPS technology. I've been doing this in an ad-hoc style, but as of tonight will make a more concerted effort to map mtb rides in particular.

The results of the exercise will be placed in the members only Ride Library section, for members to download / share.

Once the lighter nights arrive, we also have the option of videoing club rides with an HD Helmetcam loaned by Walkers Cycling. We just need some instruction in basic video editing techniques (Donald?!)... so the end result is watchable!

Where do you meet for the Pollok Park run?


Video editing .... ah yes ... i'll not bore you, but editing HD footage can be a pain in terms of finding software that can read and deal with it, but once you get that sorted, the results are really really good quality. I got a small HD camcorder recently ... i have a few ideas regarding it.

Very interesting ride last night. I believe that most of us (9) expected a ride around a football park. However, what we were treated to was two hours of purpose built hilly single tracks, which were colour graded, and a good splattering of natural stuff. This ride had more single track than any other Wednesday night location! Hardest part was finding the meeting place. I should have known my sat-nav was having a problem when it told me the distance from Kilbirnie was 110 miles! I just heard that Mary was still searching for the meeting place at eight thirty!

A well!! I was at the wrong roundabout trying to get to pollock park I was at eastwood toll heading for cathkin instead headed home had a chippy (chips piza crunch) and a big box of chocs.
