Frazer is first. Or was it Frazer is fast?

Alan Woodison reports on the first race in the club’s annual TT series.

Frazer Bell took the honours with a little help from the handicapper at the first of six races in the 2015 Walkers Cycling Club TT series.

Despite strong winds and wintry showers, there was a strong turnout for the 3.5 mile event at Marine Drive in Irvine last Tuesday.  Defending Champion Frazer Bell showed that he is making good progress, recording the 3rd fastest time on the night, and just pipping Ian Anderson to first place on handicap times.

First five on handicap: Frazer Bell 07:11, Ian Anderson 07:21, Craig Mitchell 07:25, Alan Waddington 07:26 and Jim Goldie 07:29.

First five on time: Ian Anderson 08:17, Bryce Gillan 08:29, Frazer Bell 08:40, Neil Walker 09:16 and Alan Gaskin 09:20.

Full results are on the club forum.

The second event is a 10-mile time trial on the Chapeltoun course on Tuesday, April 7.  This will be the first of two races in the series on this route, with the second one being held in August.
