More TT. And more wind.

The Sun was out but the wind was up for Wednesday night’s Willie Rafferty TT organised by St Christopher’s CC, writes Ian Anderson. Run on the A77 starting just south of Newton Mearns,  the out 5 miles were straight into the teeth of the wind and seemed mainly up hill.  Those who had the energy left were able to enjoy a flying return 5 miles. 90 were signed up with only a few no shows and non starters.

Ben Peacock of Billy Bislands (21:18) narrowly missed out by one second on top spot to Jamie Kennedy of Paisley Velo Race Team (21:17) with Peter Murdock of Neon-Velo (21:24) taking third (Provisional results).

Frazer Bell took the Club honours on the day, measuring his effort well on a challenging course.

Next Up is Sunday’s 25 mile Scottish National TT Championships
