The club held its Christmas social ride and lunch on Sunday December 17th. Leaving in several groups from Walkers Cycling shop, the idea was to get to the Prestwick Pioneer for 12.30pm for lunch.
One group went a road route to get to the venue while another opted for a more mixed route using tracks and the Prestwick shore path.
With the weather being kind to us, some thirty people congregated at the Pioneer for food and festivities.
Part of the day’s fun was a celebration of the 60th birthday of faithful club servant and one of the founder members, Alan Woodison.
Although the secret had been let out of the bag a little, the look of surprise on Alan’s face when the cake appeared must feature as one of the highlights of the year.
Great day altogether.
The cake was out of this world and was created by Ayrshire’s own Enticing Icing.
