Turning up the power

Clear blue skies plus an outside temperature of 16C meant a more pleasant evening for the eight riders who turned up for Round 4 of the 2018 Club TT  series.

Held on the A77 course, the route is ideally suited for the powerhouses rather than those with technical handling skills.

The riders had the bonus of a tail wind start, making the outward leg of the 15 mile distance significantly easier than the return.

The points on actual times this evening went to Ian Anderson and Chris Shields with times of 36 minutes 27 seconds and 39 minutes 50 seconds respectively.

Close on their heels was Sandy Muir riding in his first event this season and notching up a creditable time of 42 minutes 3 seconds.

For the women,  Sharon Lindsay just edged out  Laura McFarlane, also riding her first TT of the season.
