TT Championships takes a step nearer completion

Last Tuesday saw a return to the decent weather which allowed Round 5 of the club TT series to take place in good sunshine and light.

Five intrepid athletes tackled the 2013 British Champs course with the only difference being that it started at Chapeltoun.

Simon Porter took the win on actual time on the night, with Sharon Lindsay winning on handicap.

At the moment the points are tight at the top with Sharon Lindsay just leading Chris Shields by 10 points.

This nicely sets up a grandstand finale to the competition on Tuesday September 11th when the final round takes place at Eaglesham Moor.  Maybe, just maybe, we might see the title being taken by a female rider for the first time.

A huge thank you to all our assistants on the night: Time was kept by John Walker and riders held by David Hamilton. Marshalling was undertaken by Alan Woodison and Rachael Mackie.
